Chapter 01

Origin & Terroir

Real de Ixtlán is produced in Ixtlán del Río, Nayarit — one of the very few tequila-producing regions outside Jalisco. At the DEHAT distillery (NOM 1628), Blue Weber agave grows in volcanic soil enriched by centuries of geological activity, producing piñas with a distinctive mineral character you won’t find in Jalisco tequilas.

The brand offers two expressions from the same distillery and terroir: a Blanco built for volume and versatility, and the original Plata — carrying the Wixárika hummingbird symbol that connects this spirit to the indigenous heritage of its homeland. Same origin, two purposes.

The volcanic soil of Nayarit gives the agave a mineral backbone that no amount of technique can replicate — it has to come from the land.

The Original

Plata — Colibrí

Unaged. The original expression carrying the Wixárika hummingbird — a symbol of good fortune that connects this tequila to the indigenous heritage of Nayarit. At 40% ABV, it is the sipping expression: smoother, rounder, made for those who want to taste the terroir without distraction. The collector’s pick.

Chapter 03

Production Process

01

Autoclave Cooking

Blue Weber agave piñas are slow-cooked in stainless steel autoclaves, converting complex starches into fermentable sugars while preserving the delicate aromatics unique to Nayarit terroir.

02

Roller Mill Extraction

Cooked agave is processed through roller mills to extract the sweet aguamiel. This mechanical method maximizes sugar yield while maintaining the clean, pure flavor profile characteristic of the brand.

03

Stainless Steel Fermentation

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing precise management of yeast activity and the development of consistent, refined flavors across every batch.

04

Double Distillation

The fermented must undergoes double distillation in stainless steel pot stills. Each pass refines the spirit, removing impurities and concentrating the agave essence into a smooth, characterful tequila.
